The home crowd had a good time watching the Halifax Heathens and Dallas Dragons get after it.

Dallas Dragons starter Steve McClung pitched a strong game against the Halifax Heathens at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark, leading the Dragons to victory, 5-2. Rick Ways closed the door for Dallas, picking up his 5th save of the year.

Cameron Polen, who is tied for 10th in the AC with a .320 batting average, took Halifax hurler Jonathan Allen deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Dragons on top, 2-1. In all, Polen had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Dragons manager Juan Gonzales.

Halifax, with the loss, is still a hardy 17-6.
