Mountaineers Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
Led by Josh Laster, the Winchester Mountaineers downed the Alcoa Millionaires, 5-3. Laster went 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Mountaineers. The Mountaineers have now won 5 straight.

Winchester used the timely hitting of Bob Carpenter to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Mountaineers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Carpenter.
