The Aurora Suns topped the Washington Wildthings, 7-2, in Eastern AA action at Red Barons Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Aurora pitcher and Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela, native Ramon Landa. The winning pitcher was Landa, now 3-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. The Suns improved to a lofty 28-12.

Jody Jackson aided the Aurora cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Aurora manager Arturo Colon.
