The Winchester Mountaineers wiggled past the Alcoa Millionaires, 4-3, at Alcoa Grounds. The win was highlighted by the performance of Winchester pitcher Ryan Simpson. Tristan Fry claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 2-0. The save went to Dusty Nelson, number 8 for him.

Jimmy Masel had a direct impact on the outcome. Masel contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Winchester up, 4-3.

"Our offense was purring," said Winchester manager Mitchell Young. "Like a well-oiled machine."

The setback makes Alcoa 8-31.
