The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers overcame a pretty good performance by Fresno catcher Clay Tucker, beating the Running Rebels, 7-6, in 10 innings. Tucker went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. Paul Kreger, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. The win puts Encinitas at 24-16 this season.

The decisive blow was delivered by Armando Gomez in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 20-year old left-handed pitcher Marvin Henderson to win the game for Encinitas. The home crowd went nuts.

"We take it day by day here," said Gomez, "and today was a good one for us."
