Running Rebels Lose 5-2 Decision to Encinitas
Encinitas picked up a win at EBDBBNB Park, bumping off the Fresno Running Rebels, 5-2. Pitcher Ryan Simpson was a major reason the Eskimo Brothers emerged victorious. Paul Kreger was credited with the save for Encinitas, his 10th of the season. The Eskimo Brothers now have a mark of 23-16.

Steve Valkenburg swatted a run-scoring double for Encinitas in the bottom of the fourth. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.

"That's how you're going to be successful," said Eskimo Brothers manager Logan Greening. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
