Ben O'Halloran, who led the AC in strikeouts with 315 in 2018, had a strong outing for the Dallas Dragons against the Phoenix Gladiators at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. O'Halloran got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Mike Braasch collected his 8th save.

Rocky Hawke, who is tied for 8th in the AC in triples with 1, aided the Dallas cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 3 with a walk.

Hawke expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

The loss drops Phoenix to 11-12.
