The Boise Dread Kings withstood a good performance by Alcoa third baseman Corey Routh to knock off Alcoa, 9-8, in 10 innings. Routh was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Dread Kings now own a record of 21-15.

Bryan Bejarano came through with a big-time hit for Boise. The shortstop smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 9-8. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Bejarano. "But we got it done."
