Dread Kings Get One-Run Win at Aurora
|
Boise turned a good performance from starting pitcher Rich Lashley into a 3-2 triumph over the Aurora Suns at Suns Field. The winning pitcher was Lashley, now 2-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Jordan Gaines got the save, the 12th for him this season.
Boise used a clutch hit from Franklin de Leon to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dread Kings ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Lashley.
The last-place Suns now sit at 13-22.
