The Alcoa Millionaires weathered a fine game by Boise shortstop Jeff Baker to upend the Dread Kings, 5-4, at Ballpark of Boise. Baker went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. The winner was Jacob Hodge in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Antonio Hermosa took the loss. Alcoa, with the win, is 7-27.

Alcoa used the timely hitting of Eddie Rothschild to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Millionaires on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

When asked about his performance after the game, Rothschild said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
