Thanks in large part to shortstop Wyatt Walker, the Riverside Rotters beat the Rohnert Park Cougars, 10-3. Walker went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Picking up the win was Jimmy Grams. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 4. Now 23-10, Riverside has won 10 consecutive games.

Aarto Turkula had a big 2-run home run for the Rotters in the top of the second inning. With Riverside leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Russell and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Rotters on top, 3-0.
