The Mexico City Aztecs went down to defeat to Bobby Nowlin and his Hollywood teammates. The final score was 4-2, in favor of the Stars. Steve Ray, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Pat Eisen finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

Hollywood took a 3-2 lead on John Beck's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Beck hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Mexico City pitcher John Manship visibly frustrated.

Hollywood manager Alex Aguilera was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.

Mexico City is 14-8 after the defeat.
