Millionaires Snatch Late-Game, 9-8 Win
The Alcoa Millionaires found a way to sneak past the Mesa Razor Sharks, 9-8, in 11 innings. Alcoa second baseman Mike Gelardi, for one, had a standout performance. Alcoa pitcher Danny Williams got the win. He's now 3-1. Kennedy Heath was tagged with the loss. The triumph makes Alcoa 9-20.

The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Shabazian in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Kennedy Heath to win the game for Alcoa. The home crowd went nuts.

"Both teams had plenty of clutch hits," said Gelardi. "It made for an exciting game."
