Roachell Pounds 2 Homers in 9-2 Running Rebels Win
The timely hitting of Dustin Roachell helped the Fresno Running Rebels down the Rohnert Park Cougars, 9-2. Roachell hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Running Rebels. Scott Clary was the winner. He's now 2-4. The loser was Kosuke Sakai. Fresno, with the win, climbs to 9-20.

The Cougars had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Running Rebels going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old first baseman John Beck came to the plate. Beck hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch changeup from Rohnert Park hurler Kosuke Sakai. It was Beck's 1st home run of the year.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Running Rebels manager Jayden Edwards. "This one was nice to get."
