Traverse City 7-6 Victors at Red Barons Ballpark
|
Tim Cook had a good game, but he could not keep the Washington Wildthings from falling, 7-6, to the Traverse City Bears at Red Barons Ballpark. The Washington right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Ahmed Harris picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-3 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 2 in 6.2 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Quincy Donaldson wrapped it up, recording his 6th save.
With Traverse City leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Sean Baran hit a run-scoring single off Washington pitcher John Richardson. It put the Bears ahead 2-0.
"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Traverse City skipper Zach Hildebrant.
The last-place Wildthings have lost 4 consecutive games.
