Encinitas Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
In a low-scoring tilt between the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers and the Washington Wildthings, 30-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Olivares was the difference-maker. The Encinitas right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win in 10 innings. The win was credited to 31-year old right-handed pitcher Antonio Jusino in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Ian Hobby took the loss. To call the performance of the 2023 Wildthings subpar is an understatement.

The Eskimo Brothers got a clutch hit from center fielder Dylan Brooks. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Eskimo Brothers.

"Jon made some big pitches when he needed to," said Eskimo Brothers manager John McKearney.
