Chiefs Get Clutch Win Versus Rohnert Park
The Mescalero Chiefs picked up a win at Chiefs Ballpark, dropping the Rohnert Park Cougars, 1-0. Ted Kelly was the difference-maker. Mescalero reliever Marvin Henderson picked up the win to move to 1-1. Willie Krell suffered the loss. The Cougars fall to 10-15 and continue their uneven start to the 2025 season.

Mescalero got a knockout punch from Trent Lovoi. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Makes our job easier," said Lovoi, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
