Polecats Pick Up 4-0 Win Against Boise
The Libertyville Polecats downed the Boise Dread Kings, 4-0, at Field of the Polecats. Stellar pitching by Andy Devane had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the E-AA in strikeouts with 31, handcuffed his opponent all game. Jim Unknown earned the save, his 1st, for the Polecats. With the win, Libertyville lifts its record to 10-14.

The Polecats had to work out of trouble in the top of the sixth. The score was 3-0, Libertyville, with no one out. Boise, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Jake Willison dug in at the plate, but on a 2-1 fastball, he hit into a double play.
