The Alcoa Millionaires beat the Winchester Mountaineers, 6-2, at Alcoa Grounds. Alcoa first baseman Alex Torres had the hot bat. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Danny Williams. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The loss lowers the Winchester record to 17-5.

Alcoa center fielder Justin Kelley said he just wanted to make contact when he came to bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the sixth. He did even better -- Kelley hit a solo home run to stake Alcoa to a 3-2 lead. His 5th home run of the season came off Winchester pitcher Jerome Abney.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Torres.
