Mountaineers Win Squeaker, 4-3, Over Yard Dogs
The Winchester Mountaineers knocked off the Mobile Yard Dogs, 4-3, at Mountaineers Park. Nelson Ziersch was a big reason Winchester won. The designated hitter went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Winchester, now 18-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Ryan Burchett was the walk-off hero for Winchester. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mountaineers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was jumping at the end," Burchett said.
