Razor Sharks Suffer 8-2 Home Defeat

The Rohnert Park Cougars thumped the Mesa Razor Sharks, 8-2, at Razor Sharks Ballpark. Bill Dent was a big reason his team got the win. Dent went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Mesa drops to 11-12.
A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Cougars sent 22-year-old right fielder Ron Salcido to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a 2-run single, to put Rohnert Park on top, 7-2.
Salcido attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
