The timely hitting of Dan Ortiz helped the Aurora Suns down the Fresno Running Rebels, 7-4. Ortiz went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs for the Suns. The Running Rebels fall to 7-14 and continue their wobbly start to the 2022 season.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jose Avelar in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Omar Lopez to win the game for Aurora. The home crowd went nuts.
