Millionaires Hand Traverse City 7-5 Loss

The Alcoa Millionaires stopped the Traverse City Bears, 7-5, at Alcoa Grounds. The Millionaires got a big game from Aaron Williams, who went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Alcoa reliever Gabe Mondragon picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Justin Bunt took the loss. The Bears drop to 8-14, as their stumbling start to the 2026 season continues.
Williams had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Justin Bunt, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Millionaires a 7-5 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Williams.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Williams told a Alcoa Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
