Polecats center fielder David Robinson put his stamp on his team's 8-7 win over the Washington Wildthings. Robinson went 4 for 7 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for Libertyville in the contest. Jay Yeiser picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Jim Unknown was tagged with the loss. Now 3-15, the 2026 Wildthings have played a subpar brand of baseball so far.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With two out, Robinson hit a slider from Jim Unknown for a run-scoring single. The Polecats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
