Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Mesa Razor Sharks and Rohnert Park Cougars.

Mesa Razor Sharks starter Eric Zane was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Rohnert Park Cougars, 1-0. The win went to Nate Peercy in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Orlando Roque took the loss. Victor Benavidez picked up the save, his 1st.

Don Hutchison, who is tied for 7th in the E-AA in home runs with 5, came through for Mesa with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. The right fielder was a perfect 3 for 3 in the game, including 1 home run and 2 singles. He scored 1 run and collected 1 RBI.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Rohnert Park manager Ramiro Mendiola.

The Cougars fall to 7-12 and continue to sputter in the early going.
