The Winchester Mountaineers saddled the Fresno Running Rebels with a loss at Running Rebels Ballpark. The final score was 8-5. Joe Martin was 3 for 3, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Winchester designated hitter scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Dusty Nelson wrapped it up, recording his 6th save. Early on, the Mountaineers, at 16-3, have played an impressive brand of baseball.
John Lopez, who is tied for 2nd in the E-AA in home runs with 9, aided the Winchester cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the left fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk.
