Rotters Squelch Chiefs Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Riverside Rotters reigned over the Mescalero Chiefs in damp conditions.
Riverside Rotters starter Josh Monroe worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Mescalero Chiefs, 5-0. Riverside now has a record of 12-5.
Riverside used a clutch at-bat from Greg Mattox to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rotters ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said losing manager Hunter Santiago: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
