Eskimo Brothers Procure 4-1 Victory
|
The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers defeated the Riverside Rotters, 4-1, in Eastern AA action at Rotters Ballpark. Encinitas pitcher Danny Wagner had a standout performance. In 6 innings, Wagner surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Encinitas now has a record of 6-6.
The Eskimo Brothers got a big at-bat from center fielder Danny Lucena. For the game, Lucena went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Encinitas a 3-1 lead.
