Mountaineers Rally For Late Win Over Millionaires
Alcoa third baseman Roberto Cano had a good game, even if his team did not. The Millionaires dropped a 3-2 decision to Winchester at Alcoa Grounds. Cano went 2 for 2 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. Steve Gryder got credit for the save for Winchester. It was his 2nd of the year. The Millionaires fall to 4-8 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Had Josh Botello not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Botello hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Mountaineers.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Botello told the Winchester Gazette.
