The Mesa Razor Sharks beat the Libertyville Polecats, 7-3, at Field of the Polecats. The win was due in part to first baseman Pete Beauford, who was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The Razor Sharks, now 6-3, have been playing some good baseball.

Jeremy Wright cracked a home run off Nate Billesbach in the top of the fifth. His 2-run blast put the Razor Sharks on top, 3-1. In all, Wright had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.
