In a low-scoring affair between the Mescalero Chiefs and the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers, pitcher Ted Kelly was the difference between victory and defeat. The Mescalero left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Chiefs win. The defeat makes Encinitas 5-6.

Mike Daniels helped out the Mescalero cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 2.
