The Riverside Rotters weathered a fine game by Mesa third baseman Adam Persons to upend the Razor Sharks, 7-4, at Razor Sharks Ballpark. Persons went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The loss drops Mesa to 4-4.

Riverside used the hitting of Eric Wilson to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rotters on top, 2-0. For the game, Wilson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Wilson told the Riverside Herald.
