Flowers drives in 5 runs to Power Bears Offense
|
The Traverse City Bears handed the Alcoa Millionaires a 6-3 defeat at Greensboro Grounds. Right Fielder Jamie Flowers starred for Traverse City. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The defeat makes Alcoa 2-3.
Flowers had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-2 curveball from Robby Harroun, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Bears a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Flowers.
"I like our moxie," said Bears manager Ray Johnson.
