The Boise Dread Kings picked up a win at Ballpark of Boise, knocking off the Corpus Christi Mermen, 6-4. Starting pitcher Nelson Martinez played a key role in the triumph. The defeat makes Corpus Christi 3-3.

Boise took a 6-4 lead on Tanner Brown's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Brown hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Corpus Christi pitcher Josh Edwards visibly frustrated.

"Nelson giving us the start that he did was huge," said Boise manager Sean Drummond.
