The Corpus Christi Mermen picked up a win at Ballpark of Boise, topping the Boise Dread Kings, 5-3. On the mound for Corpus Christi was right-hander Scott Foote. He played a principal role in the triumph. Corpus Christi reliever Edgar Minero picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. David Caldwell was saddled with the loss. The loss drops Boise to 2-3.

Jon Dearman provided a timely hit. The Corpus Christi pinch hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the 12th inning to put the Mermen on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
