The Winchester Mountaineers earned a close win over the Riverside Rotters, thanks in part to Josh Hamilton. The Winchester right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. With the win, Winchester elevates its record to 5-0.
Had Luis Munoz not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Munoz hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Mountaineers.
Hamilton called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
