Suns Win, Peterson has 3 hits
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Aurora Suns eventually prevailed.
Suns designated hitter Adam Peterson left his mark on his team's 7-6 win over the Alcoa Millionaires. Peterson was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Aurora in the contest. Rodrigo Hernandez snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 2.2 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season.
Aurora took a 7-4 lead on Peterson's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Jesse Summerlin in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Aurora to the win.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Aurora manager Oscar Figeroa.
The loss drops Alcoa to 1-4.
