Chicago Absorbs 2-1 Loss to San Francisco
|
The San Francisco Fire earned a close win over the Chicago Gangsters, thanks in part to Pat Daughtry. The San Francisco right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the NC in innings pitched with 31.0, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Daughtry got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Ron Lombardi recorded the save for San Francisco, his 5th of the season.
Jonathan Kober, who is tied for 7th in the NC in RBI with 15, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kober contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put San Francisco up, 2-0.
"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Daughtry.
The Gangsters fall to 7-14 and continue their lackluster start in 2025.
