The Boise Dread Kings scored a tight, 2-1 win versus the Alcoa Millionaires at Alcoa Grounds. Boise pitcher Dan Presnell held his own in the contest. The winner was Presnell. He threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Josh Glanzmann. Jordan Gaines picked up the save for Boise, his 1st of the year.

The most important at-bat for Boise came in the top of the ninth inning, when second baseman Nathaniel Powell stroked a first pitch fastball to right for a run-scoring single, putting Boise up, 2-1.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Boise manager Roberto Flores said.
