Marauders Edge Past Eagles, 4-3

The Philadelphia Marauders picked up a win at Marauders Ballpark, taking down the Indianapolis Eagles, 4-3. Starting pitcher Josh Canas was a big reason why. Malcolm Freeman came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Philadelphia, now 14-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Gregg Carter was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Marauders third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Carter called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
