The Maine Pines reigned over the Detroit Giants in damp conditions.

No one was more impactful than Skyler Fundis in an extra-inning, 6-4 Maine win over Detroit. Fundis, who is tied for 2nd in the NC in doubles with 8, was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Giants fall to 7-14 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2025 season.

Maine used the timely hitting of Tyler Tolbert to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Pines on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"There's no quit in this team," said Pines manager David Whigham.
