San Francisco pitcher Fred Taylor did his part in helping his team beat the Syracuse Scorpions, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The Scorpions fall to 7-13.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Scott Hargraves didn't flinch. With a runner on 2nd and Syracuse trailing 1-0, Hargraves retired Danny Hammang to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Hargraves, with a wink.
