Thanks in large part to third baseman Elijah Moody, the Hollywood Stars beat the Syracuse Scorpions, 9-4. Moody was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Logan Mayhew, the winner, goes to 1-3. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts over 6.1 innings. Hollywood goes to 9-11.

Moody contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Hollywood in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Moody took a cutter from Mike Hammond and stroked the home run to right-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Stars to leap in front, 3-2.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Moody, "one at-bat at a time."
