Reapers Come Up Short at Dallas, 4-3
The Carolina Reapers were defeated, 4-3, by the Dallas Dragons at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark, even though Paul Mitchell pitched well for Carolina. Dallas pitcher Adam Holland got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Paul Mitchell got the loss. Mike Braasch earned the save for Dallas, his 7th of the year.

Had Rocky Hawke not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Hawke hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Dragons.

In postgame remarks, Hawke applauded his team's "toughness."

The loss makes the Reapers 7-12.
