Invaders Drop 6-5 Decision to Heathens
The Halifax Heathens topped the Oakland Invaders, 6-5, in American Conference action at Estadio Azteca. The game was highlighted by the performance of Halifax pitcher Branden Covington. Steve McManus closed the door for Halifax, picking up his 1st save of the year. The loss drops Oakland to 11-8.

With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Paul Gaither put Halifax in front, 3-2, with a run-scoring single. The Heathens went on to win the ballgame.

"Branden was able to execute his pitches," said Halifax manager David Morris. "Simple as that."
