Jon Pitts knocked in 3 runs to help San Diego beat Boston, 6-4. Pitts produced 1 single and 1 home run. The winner in relief was Adam D'Alberto. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-1. Getting the save was Nate Holyfield, his 1st.

Pitts had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Jayden Nesmith, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Fleet a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Pitts.

Pitts said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.

San Diego now has a record of 11-8.
