Fountain Park was the site of a competitive game between the Fountain Hills 23ers and Maine Pines.

The Pines grabbed a win, 5-3, at Fountain Park, overcoming a fine effort from Fountain Hills pitcher Curtis Gring. Gring went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Pines, now 13-6, have been red hot.

The Pines got a big hit from left fielder Tony Ochoa. In the top of the sixth, Ochoa smacked a 2-run home run off Fountain Hills pitcher Curtis Gring. It was his 4th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Pines were ahead, 2-1.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Ochoa told the Maine Citizen.
