Milbrandt Slugs Gladiators to 8-4 Win
The Phoenix Gladiators took on the San Francisco Fire at San Francisco Grounds.

No one was more impactful than Eric Milbrandt in the 8-4 Phoenix win over San Francisco. Milbrandt went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Bob Rehm. He's now 2-2. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits for the Gladiators. Dave Coe recorded the save for Phoenix, his 1st of the season.

Phoenix used a clutch at-bat from Pat Bounds to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Gladiators ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
