Smith Excels in 11-6 Halifax Win
Hollywood Grounds was the site for American Conference action featuring the Hollywood Stars and Halifax Heathens.

Behind the hitting of Chance Smith, the Halifax Heathens stopped the Hollywood Stars, 11-6. Smith was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Heathens. The Heathens, now 12-5, have been red hot.

Halifax used the timely hitting of Josh Fitzgerald to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Heathens on top, 8-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're playing like we're capable of," said Halifax manager David Morris.
