The Charleston Shiners took Dan Miller's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Hannaford Dome. The final score had Charleston getting past the Pines, 5-2, in 10 innings. Miller over 6.1 innings allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 9. The victory makes Charleston 10-7, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2022.

Charleston needed the clutch hitting of Fred Hernandez to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Shiners on top, 3-2. For the game, Hernandez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm proud to wear a Charleston jersey," Hernandez told the Charleston News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
