The Chicago Gangsters handed the Detroit Giants a 6-3 defeat at Ballpark of Detroit. Left Fielder Ryan Atkins starred for Chicago. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Chicago pitcher Kyle O'Hare earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Mike Wroten suffered the loss. Nick Slover recorded the save for Chicago, his 1st of the season.

Brandon Titus had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the first for Chicago. With the bases loaded and the Gangsters leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"Solid performance from our side," said Gangsters manager Antonio Valdez.

With the win, Chicago is 9-8.
