Carolina Reapers starter Kevin Farris found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Maine Pines. After losing, Maine is 10-6.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Mike Fearing? The 23-year old first baseman Fearing stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Carolina up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Maine skipper David Whigham.
