McKinstry Rips 2 Homers in 4-3 Win
The Oakland Invaders downed the Cincinnati Royals, 4-3, at Howard Terminal. The Invaders were led by Steve McKinstry. McKinstry went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Josh Becker earned the save for Oakland, his 4th. With their winning streak at 5, the Invaders have raced to a strong start this season.

McKinstry contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Oakland in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, McKinstry took a slider from Juan Fernandez and stroked the home run to left-center. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Invaders to leap in front, 3-1.

"I like the roll we're on," said Oakland manager Adam Ponder.
