The Indianapolis Eagles racked up a win at Reedy River Stadium, bumping off the Carolina Reapers, 4-3. Jerry Bowman, who started for Indianapolis, pitched effectively for his team. Indianapolis, now 10-6, has played well in the early going.
The Eagles got a big at-bat from designated hitter Bobby Butler. For the game, Butler went 1 for 5 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Indianapolis a 4-2 lead.
"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Bowman.
