Nightmare Rough Up Scorpions, 9-3

The New York Nightmare defeated the Syracuse Scorpions, 9-3, in American Conference action at Nightmare Stadium. Bill Geeslin pulled his weight. The 11-year veteran went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Dustin Lewis, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 3-0. The loss drops Syracuse to 1-15.
Geeslin contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for New York in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Geeslin took a cutter from Bob Garbee and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Nightmare to leap in front, 2-1.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Geeslin.
